We are having a Fun Sing on the 8th February.
Do you have any friends (don't answer yet, let me finish the sentence...) any friends who you think would enjoy being part of Amici? Maybe they are a bit reluctant to put themselves forward, maybe they don't think they can sing very well but secretly would like learning to sing better?
We've got some spaces in the choir at the moment so do encourage them to come along.

As James is keen on SOVT as a warm-up technique here is a interesting link to some SOVT exercises.
In case you are just reaching for the Google Search button, SOVT stands for Semi-Occluded Vocal Tract, not Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament. It means you are singing while not opening your mouth all the way, so that the air pressure builds up inside... I am not sure that was a terribly helpful explanation, it might be better if you clicked on the link.
And here we are doing some of it, in the pre-concert warm-up, I think this was the point where Doreen had almost remembered how to do the "bubbling".

And finally - why do next term's rehearsals seem to be only 2 hours long? |

There is a feature in the new system where every event is exactly two hours long :(
Let's be honest, it's a bug, not a feature.
I am trying to persuade them to fix it, but it is not a very easy one to fix.
So if you would like to have events showing with the right duration in your diary, please link to this calendar instead:
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/4hui0o9en8cel4korcrtl10s4s%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
I will let you know if/when the duration is fixed in the "real" calendar.
If you have any problems using this please let me know...
